| 11-13-2007Smoke Park | So last month we moved to a house in Oak Park. If I ever get off my lazy ass, besides doing a million other things I need to do, I'll put up some pictures or video or something. Who knows though, I've barely even begun unpacking so far. Anyways, all is going fairly well here.
To commemorate a fresh start, I also built a new computer, and got a tattoo of Bruce Lee on my shaved skull. Its my first new machine since I was about...16 or so. I have to say, despite lack of free time, it is still quite enjoyable. Assembling it was such a pleasure in its simplicity, and the speed is so far like no system I've ever had my hands on. I'm not sure why I waited so long. This does close another chapter in my book of dreams, as I had always longed for the day I would have the financial freedom to build a new PC from all new parts. I always fantasized about playing games on my new computer on a broadband connection in the basement of my house...and whattya know, here I fucking am. Well, I had imagined there also being a server farm for game servers and clan web servers too...but now I've had to work with servers for too damn long and I don't want to be near them, they're nothing but trouble.
On the flip, work life has almost reached a pinnacle of difficulty, or at least I hope it has. And that comes from someone who has tried to deliver food in blizzards to addresses that don't exist in a car with bad brakes and defrosters that produce frost than they eliminate. On Christmas Eve no less. So take my word for it, its rough rough rough. I think I'll manage, or maybe blow myself up with a hand grenade...a gentleman's way of coping.
